ABOUT ME

Having always been passionate about the English language and its literature, I decided to become an English teacher ten years ago. Since then, I’ve enjoyed teaching English to international students, KS3 and KS4 classes at secondary schools including a SEN academy, and more recently 16+ students at Harrow College, London.

Therefore, I’m very experienced in teaching students of different age groups and with different levels of attainment, and skilled at making my lessons relevant, effective, interactive and fun too.

When I’m not teaching, I love to read books of course, look at art or tune into Spotify. I also love running, tennis, photography, travelling and exploring other cultures and I’m trying to learn Spanish too. So, yes; I understand the challenges of learning another language!

My favorite authors? Too many to choose from as I’m widely read, but I’ve enjoyed reading Clarice Lispector and Camilo Jose Cela this Summer and I’ve just started reading Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell, winner of the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2020.

Please visit my blog for regular updates on all things English language and books, or to let me know what you’re reading?
